Family Friendly Features
Introduction
Having grown up at The Old Vicarage and now with young children ourselves, we love to see families making the most of their time in the Golden Valley.
younger children
If you have very little ones, we have high chairs and travel cots available (please bring your own linen). We also have stair gates and fire guards.
Recently we have created a little play corner with wipe clean mat and a range of toys and books to keep them entertained. If you look carefully around the house, you will also spot Spider Man making various appearances - see how many you can find!
Outside we have a climbing frame with slide and swings.
older children
We have a range of games suitable for the whole family. Please feel free to make full use of them.

…or maybe you fancy a bit of ping pong instead?
The bottom lawn used to have a full sized tennis court but historically it has seen much more football played on it then tennis. It is also much easier to maintain a football pitch than a grass tennis court!
local area
We only recently found the Coop which is a few miles down the road. A great place to go for coffee and cake or a light lunch while the kids play.
If you fancy a playground, there a couple around which are not too bad.

Obviously there is a wide range of bookshops including the children’s bookshop.

There are a really wide range of outdoor activities in the area. Many of them are to the west in the difrection of Hay and the black mountains but some are the other way.
